Biosyndicalism from the Domestic Territories

Territorio Doméstico’s book in English

It’s been two decades now since Territorio Doméstico first started organizing for the rights of domestic care workers in Madrid, their chants have resonated across many places since then. They haven’t stopped coming up with powerful tools and tactics for building alliance, leverage and learning.

We have translated their 2020 book ‘Biosindicalismo desde los Territorios Domésticos’ into English, to help share and spread this amazing toolkit for joyful, anti-racist feminist organizing and community building. It’s an important contribution to social syndicalism that puts life at the center – biosyndicalism – and doesn’t stop at borders or the doorsteps of ‘private’ spaces like homes.

A must-read for anyone wanting to channel powerful organizing that builds joyful and resilient communities for the long run, to abolish and at the same time also grow and win. Translated by Maggie Schmitt, published in collaboration with La Laboratoria.
