What might it mean to build webs of mutual support, alliance and partnership at this point, across different situations and realities? At times that feel critical, in these online Open Classrooms we want to learn with allies in different regions that are strongly affected by imperial/colonial violence (Colombia, Palestine, Lebanon), getting to know their different forms and models of solidarity to resist and counter it, in the context of their outlooks on global crisis and cross-territorial alliances. We explore this with a need to cultivate closeness and commitment without thinking we can be everywhere, without falling into disconnection and despair. Knowing there is no single best way, we also know that our solidarity always risks resembling charity if we don’t build power where we are. From translocal partnerships to territorial exchanges and brigades, to flotillas and seed and harvest collaborations – these conversations are open spaces to kindle our solidarity, imagination, and connectedness, learning from initiatives and struggles that link territory to translocal alliances, build longer term horizons, and develop a shared analysis of what’s going on in our worlds right now.
Join us to show up, listen in, step up, think together and propagate mutual mycelial webs – in order to spread and support different powerful solidarity initiatives on the ground and in the fields. All welcome.
Because we need each other in these times, we need to find ways to connect and match up struggles, build power from different kinds of affectedness, we want to follow the lead of international solidarity and step up in facilitating alliance building that is grounded and bounded rather than just transactional or sporadic.

¡SOLO EL PUEBLO SALVA AL PUEBLO! COLOMBIA
In the last months Colombian people has faced a sequence of catastrophes: massive earthquake, fires ravaging the country, a militaristic government takes power and is throwing the country back to an era of crude violence that only favors imperial interests. Colombians all over the world had rapidly stood up, organized and are proving -once more- that Sólo el pubelo salva el pueblo!. In this session we will learn with grassroot organizations based in Colombia and in the diaspora, what are the models of solidarity that are being practiced amid these crisis, how to expand, replicate or deepen them, and what can we do from afar to sustain those processes. Territorial Agricultural Solidarity and Community-to-Community Brigades. Lebanon
In the Lebanese South, which is under intense Israeli attack, agriculture generates 80% of GDP and is a key pillar of survival, autonomy and resistance. We’ve been following the work of the Agricultural Movement in Lebanon for some time now (you can read their fanzine here), and want to use this session to learn more deeply about their work and outlook. We will hear about their Land and Sea Brigades for Emergency Agriculture Support, a Community-to-Community Initiative of Agrimovement and the Critical Ecologies Lab in the Mediterranean East (CELME, American University of Beirut): drawing on a long tradition of organized international solidarity – from the Vietnam solidarity brigades to the Cuba–Americas exchanges to the International Brigades of the Spanish Civil War, and importantly the faz3a initiative in Palestine – this initiative translates international political commitment into organised presence, witness, and exchange between farmers, fishermen and other indigenous unions in the South of the country. On this occasion, we echo the brigade’s call for participation, as well as the environmental and social justice work of Jibal and related organizing in Europe, to learn from their experience, analysis and initiative.

Solidarity through agricultural praxis and seeds. Palestine
As we continue organizing for collective liberation we keep talking about Palestine and suporting Palestinian organizations on their lands. In this session we want to learn our allies at Mondeggi Bene Comune who run their project C.A.S.A, a territory-to-territory agriculture support project that sends a crew/brigade of agriculture workers to support the olive harvest in the West Bank. Also we will learn from the youth segment of the Danish La Via Campesina, Frie Bønder Levende Lands Ungdomsfron (FLUF) about their experience organising a seed library that sailed in one of the flotillas to Palestine this spring. We are confirming other collectives to be here and we invite everyone who had been involved in similar solidarity actions related to agriculture in Palestine to be part of the conversation so we can expand our ways of materializing more all those efforts. So come, join us too!
